Which documents do I need?
The foreign registration document, the purchase invoice or contract, the certificate of conformity (COC) and your ID with your NIF (Portuguese tax number). For companies, also the certidão permanente (company registry certificate).
Do I have to come to Lisbon?
No. You can do everything online and follow your case in the app. If you prefer, you can visit our office in Parque das Nações.
What is the deadline to declare the car at customs?
The DAV (declaração aduaneira de veículo, the vehicle customs declaration) must be filed within 20 working days of the car entering Portugal.
